The Emancipation Proclamation

The Emancipation Proclamation was a document suggested and written by our 16th president Abraham Lincoln. Due to the difficulties caused by the Civil War, Lincoln’s idea of creating equality was delayed. However, he found a way to free slaves and weaken the Southern states. The Emancipation Proclamation was this solution. It freed all slaves in the Confederacy, not exempting the ones already conquered by Union forces. This helped to not only win the Civil War and reunite the U.S., but also ultimately lead to the end of slavery itself.

You did a good job keeping the introduction short and to the point, while also providing enough information on the subject.
